US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday (September 23) that Ukraine is in a position to re -acquire Russia’s occupied areas. He shared this on social media after meeting Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

What did Trump say on the question related to trust on Putin?

Trump wrote that Ukraine may return to its original form with the cooperation of the European Union and NATO. He said that the same situation can be restored with patience and financial help, from where this war started. During the meeting, when Trump was asked whether NATO countries should drop Russian aircraft entering their airspace, they answered it in ‘yes’. At the same time, on the question related to trust on Putin, he said that he will tell about this in a month.

Trump gives strict warning to Russia

Trump also said that Russia has been fighting a useless war for nearly three and a half years, which a real military power could have ended for less than a week. According to him, this war is showing Russia weak and hollow. Jailonsky appealed to the US for further help in this meeting and said that he has positive news from the battlefield. The two leaders met warmly and discussed ways to end the war.

Trump says that the biggest progress to end the struggle is that the Russian economy is in a very poor condition. At the same time, Jailonsky supported Trump’s appeal in which he asked European countries to stop the purchase of Russian oil and gas. Trump reiterated in his speech by the General Assembly that this war should actually be a small clash but the wrong leadership made it long and destructive. Now the question is that how much more will be known on both sides.

Trump is preparing to impose more strict ban on Russia

However, Trump’s initial peace efforts could not proceed. The attempt to bring Putin and Jailonski together did not succeed, on the contrary Moscow attacked Ukraine and intensified. Meanwhile, America and Europe are considering imposing further strict ban on Russia, so that its war machine can be weakened.
