GPS jam of EU’s female president’s aircraft, Russia accused

Amidst the ongoing tension over Ukraine war, the European Commission has sensationally accused Russia of blocking EU President Ursla von Der Leon’s aircraft. According to the European Commission, the pilot made landing through physical map after the GPS-Navigation jam.

The incident took place on Sunday (31 August, 2025), when Ursla was returning from a tour of Pauland. The European Commission alleges that the GPS-navigation of the mid-air, aircraft was blocked, due to which landing had to be done in Bulgaria.

Pilot visits before landing

Prior to landing, the pilot circled in the Bulgarian aerospace for about an hour, but when the GPS-navigation did not improve, the landing was made at an airport in Bulgaria via physical map. According to Bulgarian agencies, this jamming was Russia’s handiwork. However, no official reaction has been revealed by Russia to this incident.

The European Union (EU) in Ukraine Jung is completely opening against Russia. Being the President of the European Commission, Ursla herself is seen standing against Ukraine’s support and Russian President Vladimir Putin on all international forums.
