‘Trump understood, he was wrong …’, Former diplomat said a big thing for India on the softening of the US President
Recently, US President Donald Trump has started softening his stand towards India. Earlier Trump had imposed heavy business tariffs on India, but now it seems that it did not have much effect. According to former India diplomat KP Fabian, Trump has started to understand that this method was not correct.
50% tariff applied to India
Trump imposed an additional 25% tariff on purchasing Russian oil from India, causing the total tariff to 50%, but this did not give the US the desired result. Fabian said that this strategy could not force India to bow down. He called it “Trumped-up Trump Tariff”, which means tariff was imposed without base.

Now they realize that they were wrong … We want to be friends with all and do business, but India will not accept anyone’s rule.
Friendly relationship between Trump and Modi
Recently, Trump said that there is a “very special relationship” between India and America. He also described his personal friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as important. Modi also replied that this feeling is completely mutual. Trump also said that “there is no major problem with India, sometimes there are differences.”
Business agreement negotiation stopped
At present, tariffs remain at 50%. The conversation of the business agreement between the US and India has also stopped. India has made it clear that it will continue to refuse American companies to enter agriculture and other important areas.
