During the journey, Dimitri Patushev can meet major Indian ministers to strengthen bilateral trade relations. America has been the largest market for Indian shrimp, where billions of dollars are traded annually. However, Trump’s tariff has affected this business. Now Indian shrimp exporters are facing strict competition from countries like Ecuador, Indonesia, Vietnam and China in the US market. In such a situation, Russia’s shrimp market can become a way of relief for India.

Pressure on tariff from America

The Trump administration has imposed several charges against India, which can exceed 58% total tariff on Indian shrimp imports. US President Trump is now demanding allies from G-7 countries to impose tariffs on India. In this episode, in a meeting of G-7 Foreign Ministers held on Friday, the US proposed to impose tariffs against India and China.
