Lynn Gian also said that China does not want to comment on Oli’s resignation at the moment. Oli is considered a pro-China leader and played an important role in strengthening Nepal-China strategic relations.
China also paid attention to the safety of citizens
Lynn Gian made it clear that no Chinese citizen has died in Nepal so far. He advised the Chinese to take care of his safety and said that they should not go out unnecessarily. With this, China has started emergency security arrangements at its Embassy in Nepal. He also told that if the situation worsened, the citizens should immediately contact the embassy in Nepal, China.
Oli attended the SCO summit
Prime Minister Oli recently participated in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference and military parade on World War II. But Oli had to resign after a large scale protests in Nepal, in which 19 people died in police action. The ban imposed on social media was also lifted later.
