‘America stands with us …’ Jailonsky said after a conversation with Trump, European Union’s cooperation
Ukraine President Wloadimir Jailonsky said on Wednesday that America is ready to support his country. The statement came after a call with US President Donald Trump and European leaders. The call took place on August 15 before the Trump-Putin meeting to be held in Alaska.
Jailonsky accused Putin
Jailonsky said that he told the US President and European leaders that Putin is not in favor of peace and he wants to occupy his country. He insisted that Putin would not be able to cheat anyone and need more pressure for peace, including American and European sanctions.
Hope to make Shantiviram the main subject
Jailonsky said that the main theme of the meeting to be held in Alaska should be peacecuram. Trump said that if his meeting was successful with Putin on August 15, he would like to have a second meeting in which Jailonski will also be involved.
Macron confirmed Trump’s peacewater initiative
French President Emmanuel Macron said after the call that Trump told European leaders that he wanted to get peace in Ukraine while meeting Putin. He also emphasized that discussion on any regional change should be done only with Ukraine.
Discussion on 15 August meeting and expectations
Macron said, “American will is to achieve peaceworks.” He also said that the conversation with Trump gave him an opportunity to clearly explain the intentions of the August 15 meeting and clarify his expectations.
Jailonski and Modi’s phone conversation
Jailonsky called Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. He said that he is grateful for Modi’s warm words. Earlier, India welcomed the US-Russian meeting to be held on August 15 in Alaska and described it as a possible success in the end of Ukraine War.
