At least eight children were killed and six others were injured in a drone attack targeting a suspected gang leader in Haiti’s capital Haiti’s gang-controlled slum city Soleil, his relatives and activists told the Associated Press on Monday. One of the leaders of this alliance, Jimmy Cherizer has vowed to avenge the attack. Cherizer is also known as Barbecue. Local people claimed that at least 13 people died in this attack. In a global initiative against international organized crime, Haiti Olonged chief Romain Lee Kaur said that the attack raises serious questions about accountability.

He said, “It has now been 48 hours to this attack and the authorities have not yet released any official information or have not taken responsibility in public. Eventually, who will take responsibility for this attack – the Prime Minister, the President’s Council, Private Security Companies or the National Police leadership of Haiti.
